You Need More Guts To protest Peacefully Against A Brutal Regime

The Struggle For Freedom :

The Syrian Security forces have violated the basic human rights of its Citizens. Massive, beatings, mass arrests, tortures and murders were committed. Have applied fear monger and violent crackdown by using live bullets and shooting indiscriminately against crowds, with no regards to their safety. Tragically the Regime commits these till now. Unfortunately, powerful nations has not collectively undertaken any serious work to pressure Syrian Regime to stop, except some UN meetings and, France, who claimed, Syrian Regime lost legitimacy.

The Syrians still confront these atrocious acts with advocating and organizing more of peaceful protests,  with bare chest facing live bullets.

The only documentation and dissemination of  regime’s violent crackdown tending to telecommunication, electronics and computer technology. The flow out of video footage by YouTube has reached in thousands if not in tens of thousands.

In Addition of these atrocities, Bashar Al-Assad has violated human rights on his people by committing and preventing the following:

  • The Syrian Security forces have violated the basic human rights of its Citizens. Massive, beatings, mass   arrests, tortures and murders were committed.
  • Has not allowed independent news network into the country.
  • The Regime has not allowed passage for Independent UN team to investigate incidents of mass killings claimed by the opposition in Dara’a.
  • Blocked entrance for Red Cross and other humanitarian aid  organizations.
  • Total and roll-out of Internet access Blackouts.
  • Total and roll-out electricity supply blackouts after cities besieged.
·

The rollout blackouts of Internet and electricity were also systematic. These were evident in townships, after besieging plans to quell an increasing peaceful protests mass in a particular town or cities. As such, these plans were prove in Homs, Tel-Kalakh, Rastan, Banyas, Dara’a and Lattakia incidents. Now 15,000 troops, 4th division ran by Maher Al-Assad, brother of Bashar Al-Assad the President. These troops are concentrated in the Idlib governorate for mass military operation. Killings and destruction of farms are happening now in Jisr-Alshaghour and Ma’aret Nouman, along with mass, 5,000 now, local residents refuge to Turkish Border.

The Regime justified acts by claiming of fighting terrorists, extremists and armed gangs. But the pouring out of many video footage and civilian casualties by the protesters drastically contradicts these claims by the Regime.

Political Situation of Syria

Since 1963, Syria was ruled by two autocrats, Haffez Al-Assad and later his Son Bashar Al-Assad. They both ran Syria applying one Party Rule (Ba'ath Socialist Party). In their era, the government did not share power, separation between Judiciary and legislative powers were not implemented. Therefore Syria’s power remains shared and controlled by few for a long time.
